Chris Petrilli, MD

Director

Christopher Petrilli is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the NYU School of Medicine. He serves as Clinical Lead of the Manhattan Campus for Value Based Management and Medical Director for Clinical Documentation Improvement for NYU Langone Health. He also serves as a national director for the High Value Practice Academic Alliance. He has published over 30-peer reviewed papers, including one of the first and largest studies identifying COVID-19 risk factors in BMJ. 

Prior to moving to NYU in 2018, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School. He was the Value Innovator for the Michigan Program for Value Enhancement and the Co-Chair of Michigan Medicine’s Laboratory Stewardship Committee.

Dr. Petrilli is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional by the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Dr. Petrilli received his Medical Degree from Georgetown University, and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at University of Michigan where he also served as Chief Medical Resident.
