Jonathan Gong, MS2

Jonathan is a medical student at UC San Diego School of Medicine interested in re-engineering healthcare delivery to improve value, equity, and access. His work is driven by the philosophy that clinical insights must be translated into systemic change. This has manifested in his previous research investigating sociodemographic drivers of health disparities, analyzing national trends in care, and evaluating global health systems performance. Currently, he serves as the Curriculum Leader at the HealthValueLab, where he leads efforts to integrate principles of high-value care into medical school curriculums. He is excited to join Costs of Care as an intern and to continue his work towards building a more affordable health system.
